I see this Blue Heron once in a blue moon at the pond near my house but it is usually on the other side of the lake. I was lucky to be at the right time in the right place as I was driving home from the sanctuary and I managed to capture a few decent shots of it. I actually desaturated this picture to give it a more soft earthy feeling. Taken in August of 2009.
