Now this is one strange bird. My first encounter with this unique feathered friend was at an emu farm in California. They make this deep rumbling sound that reminded me of the raptors from Jurassic Park. Weird to say I never heard the emus at Cango Wildlife Ranch make the same noise, but they still nonetheless reminded me of the ancient prehistoric creatures, with a less deadly nature and more sweet composure. We got to hand feed them, of which I thouroughly enjoyed doing. Taken September 2009, South Africa.
